Since the smartphone is an older model, its current selling price can vary depending on stock, retailer, and whether the device is new, used, or refurbished.

Vivo V23 Pro Design and Display

The vivo V23 Pro has a 6.56-inch AMOLED screen with a resolution of 1080×2376 pixels. The screen has a refresh rate of 90Hz and HDR10+ for better viewing. The screen-to-body ratio is approximately 89.5% with a resolution of around 398 pixels per inch. It is made of Schott Xensation α glass for protection.

With dimensions of 159.5 x 73.3 x 7.4mm and a weight of 171g, the phone is quite compact and lightweight. It has a glass front and glass back, which further enhance its stylish look and feel. One of the most unique design aspects is the changing color of the back panel in the Sunshine Gold version.

Vivo V23 Pro Camera

One of the prominent features of the vivo V23 Pro is the camera setup. The triple rear camera system includes a 108MP sensor, an 8MP sensor with a wide-angle lens, and a 2MP sensor with a macro lens. The 108MP main camera has an f/1.9 aperture and PDAF. The ultrawide camera features a 120-degree view, which can be helpful in landscape and group shots.

The back camera system has 4K video recording at 30fps, 1080p video recording, and gyro-EIS. The V23 Pro has a dual front camera setup, comprising a 50MP main camera and an 8MP ultrawide camera, for selfie enthusiasts. The front camera is also capable of capturing 4K videos at 30 fps.

Performance and Software

The vivo V23 Pro will have the MediaTek Dimensity 1200 chipset, which is manufactured on a 6nm process. The processor has an octa-core setup with a 3.0 GHz Cortex-A78 core, three 2.6 GHz Cortex-A78 cores, and four 2.0 GHz Cortex-A55 efficiency cores.

The Mali-G77 MC9 is used for graphics operations. With the Dimensity 1200 processor and up to 12G of RAM, the device offers ample power for all day-to-day tasks, multitasking, photography, and gaming. It came equipped with the Android 12 operating system and Funtouch OS 12 by default.

Gaming Performance

With the Dimensity 1200 processor, the vivo V23 Pro has sufficient computing power for demanding applications and mobile gaming. The Mali-G77 MC9 GPU provides graphics processing capabilities, and the AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate offers smoother animation and scrolling than a standard 60Hz AMOLED.

The phone’s lightweight design also makes it comfortable to hold during extended usage. However, because the device lacks dedicated storage, buyers should assess their storage needs before purchasing it.

Battery and Charging

vivo V23 Pro has a 4300mAh battery and can support 44W wired fast charging. Under the listed conditions, the phone reportedly reaches a 63% charge in 30 minutes. Its battery life is less than some of the newer smartphones, but the relatively low weight of 171g keeps it slim and lightweight. The battery test results, listed on the phone, indicated that it has an endurance rating of 110 hours in testing.

Audio, Connectivity and Other Features

The vivo V23 Pro has 5G, 4G LTE, 3G, and 2G network support. It supports dual Nano-SIM and has dual-band Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 5.2. The phone is capable of GPS, GLONASS, BDS, Galileo, QZSS, and NavIC for navigation. It has a USB Type-C port with OTG. NFC, FM radio, and a 3.5 mm headphone jack are not included. It has an under-display optical fingerprint sensor for security.

Vivo V23 Pro Pros and Cons

The Vivo V23 Pro has a number of appealing features, such as a 108MP primary camera, dual selfie camera, AMOLED display, thin design, and 44W quick charging. It weighs 171g and its thickness is 7.4mm, which also makes it very thin in comparison to other smartphones. The Sunshine Gold model has a color-changing rear panel, which adds to its unique appearance.

The battery capacity is 4300mAh, which is quite low for newer phones. It doesn’t have expandable storage, NFC, or a 3.5mm headphone jack, but it does have 128MB of built-in storage.

Conclusion

vivo V23 Pro is a chic 5G telephone particularly concerned with style and photography. The device especially targets photographers and content creators with its 108MP rear camera, dual front setup (50MP ultrawide + 8MP selfie), and 90Hz AMOLED display. The MediaTek Dimensity 1200 has given it a solid punch, and the 44W charging system helps minimize charging time. A slim 7.4mm body and 171g weight are also interesting characteristics. A few features missing are a 4300mAh battery, no expandable storage, no NFC, and no 3.5mm headphone jack. Buyers should also evaluate the smartphone’s features and specifications in light of its 2022 release year.
